Sisters, Maureen Everette and  Catherine Moon have co-authored book two in the series titled The Adventures of NanaCat and Her Children to address the needs of over six million children living in the United States that are being raised by their grandparents or other kinship caregivers.  Maureen is a licensed mental health counselor with over 16 years experience counseling families and children.  She holds a Masters in Counseling from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.  Maureen and her husband, Edmund, have four children and three grandchildren.  They reside in Indialantic, Florida with their dachshund, Maggie.  Catherine has a Masters in Whole Systems Design/Organizational Development from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington.  She is employed in the high-tech industry and is also an adjunct faculty member of Marylhurst University in Oregon.  Catherine and her husband, Michael, have three children and live in Beaverton, Oregon with their two cats, Ashes and Dusty.


Kara is a self-employed illustrator and muralist.  Her work has been published in Simon & Barklee, a series of educational books.  She graduated from Portland State University with her BA degree and now makes her home in Lake Oswego, Oregon with her two cats, Pharaoh and Mike and a dog, Lela Mae the Pub.  In her spare time, Kara plays the drums, is an avid runner and drives around in her lime green VW.
